From the Front Lines to Your Leadership Team
I directed the Medical Triage Unit at the New Orleans Convention Center during Hurricane Katrina. I led response teams as incident commander after earthquakes, typhoons, and hurricanes around the globe. I spent two and a half months serving in a refugee field hospital.
Those environments shaped how I think about leadership. They also taught me what most leadership development misses. Pressure shapes teams more than it reveals them. The only question is what they become inside it.
