DAN DIAMOND, MD

SPEAKER, AUTHOR, COACH,
INTERNATIONAL DISASTER PHYSICIAN,
& RETIRED STREET MIME

A uniquely qualified leader with over 30 years of international disaster experience

I came back from the trenches of Katrina with one question that wouldn't let go: how do some people become unstoppable under pressure?

Thirty years of disaster response taught me the answer. I've directed the Medical Triage Unit at the New Orleans Convention Center, served as incident commander after earthquakes and typhoons, and led a first-response medical team into Haiti. What I learned is that the thing that makes a person unstoppable is the same thing that holds a team together when the pressure is highest. That's the work I do now, helping healthcare, faith-based, and corporate teams turn turbulence into transformation.

As a physician and educator, I don't hand teams theory. I give them tools they can use the moment the pressure hits, drawn from places where getting it wrong wasn't an option.
